Upcoming Photo Safaris With Alan & Kaleel
Travelling to sub-Saharan Africa is a dream for many photographers. Seeing and photographing iconic wildlife in its natural habitat provides incredible photographic opportunities and memories which will last a lifetime. We pride ourselves on creating and leading photography safaris where you can immerse yourself in your wildlife photography and share enthusiasm with like-minded guests.
Alan and Kaleel are very flexible. We work with guests individually, in small groups or everybody together – whichever suits our guests!
Focus on… Kenya’s Maasai Mara
Join us at ‘Mattikoko’, a Maasai family owned camp in the heart of the incredible private Lemek Conservancy during of the world’s most spectacular wildlife events, the great migration. The private conservancies benefit from lower tourist numbers and more freedom to responsibly off-road and experience the sights and sounds of the savanna after sunset.
We’ll also have access to the Maasai Mara National Reserve and Mara Triangle.
Booking now for August & September 2024, 7 and 11 night options available.
The Maasai Mara Conservancies offer an incredible opportunity to photograph lions, leopards and cheetahs. There’s even a chance of seeing serval and caracal too! The Lemek Conservancy is home to the turbulent Lemek pride of lions and their splinter groups. Cheetahs have also provided wonderful opportunties, especially the well known female, Kisaru and leopards are well represented in the foothills of nearby Kileloni.
Let’s not forget giraffe, rhino, elephant, hippo and a huge amount of birdlife too!
South Africa’s Timbavati
Join Alan in the stunning Timbavati private reserve in Greater Kruger, well known for Leopard and Rhino viewing and also home to the rare ‘White Lion’ gene.
The wildlife is exceptionally relaxed around safari vehicles, allowing for amazing photographic opportunities. You can expect to photograph the Big Five with ease.
Our lodge is made up of thatched rooms with en-suite facilities, hot water, electricity and open air bush showers. There’s a bush bar overlooking a waterhole, a plunge pool, and a traditional African boma where we’ll be served home cooked meals.

Tanzania’s Nyerere National Park, Rufji River, Ruaha and Mikumi.
An exclusive safari in Nyerere National Park, with its 500 species of birds and the Rufji River sprawling across it; and Ruaha, with its thousands of ancient baobab trees and the continent’s largest population of lions. Also, the Mikumi National Park, home to endemic species of primate, huge herds of buffalo and elephants, and healthy populations of leopards.
Due to their position on the globe, these parks host an extraordinary variety of wildlife and nature. At a convergence zone between Sub-Saharan Africa’s Southern and Eastern wildlife areas, Southern Tanzania sees a huge variety of migratory wildlife.
